Plumbing and backhoe services in Grandview

Charlie Mitchell’s family business has plumbed homes and buildings since 1974, and it owns the backhoe for the sewer lines that can’t be fixed from inside.

Find the break, then dig to it

A failed sewer line is three jobs in a row, and Charlie Mitchell's crew does all three with one licensed plumber on site.

  1. Find it

    Plumbing video inspection

A fiber optic cable with a high-resolution camera runs the line, and the footage shows the clog, leak or drip. That’s how a plumbing video inspection tells us where to dig before the backhoe moves.

  2. Clear it

    Sewer hydrojetting

High-pressure water through specialty nozzles clears sludge, grease, mineral deposits and roots, with no chemicals. Old root damage can tear a pipe’s protective sock, so sewer hydrojetting starts with the master plumber looking at the line.

  3. Dig it

    Tunneling and excavation

When the line has to come out, the backhoe opens a trench to it from the yard, so the slab often stays in one piece and no one swings a jackhammer.

It’s the work behind the company name, and it’s part of residential plumbing for older homes with cast iron under the floor.
