Residential plumbing in Grandview

Toilets, faucets, sinks, showers and tubs, plus the backhoe when an older home's sewer line gives out.

What fails first in older homes

Older Grandview houses tend to fail in the same few places: cast iron lines that wear out under the floor, vanity faucets that drip into the cabinet, toilets that run all night. R.T. Kirkpatrick wrote that Mr. Mitchell, Cody and the crew were fantastic in repairing a long term issue in a quaint old home with old cast iron pipes.

The everyday list is plain: toilet replacement and repair, vanity faucets and faucets, sinks, showers, tubs, plumbing repairs and new installations. Jayla h wrote that the crew got under the sink and took care of the leak in no time, and that Beverly explained everything from the first phone call.

Tunneling instead of breaking the slab

When a sewer line breaks under an older house, the usual fix is a jackhammer through the floor. Charlie Mitchell's crew uses tunneling and excavation with its own backhoe to reach the broken line from the yard, so the floor isn't the first thing to go.

Before anyone digs, a camera shows where the line failed, and a line that's only clogged may clear with hydrojetting and no digging at all. The trench is the last step, not the first.

A licensed plumber, and a call after

There is always a licensed plumber on every job. Charlie Mitchell has plumbed since 1974, earned his Journeyman's License in 1976 and his Master's License in 1980, and the business is still family owned and operated.

Pam W had her entire house re-plumbed and wrote that Charlie Mitchell comes by and calls to make sure she's happy with the work. That follow-up call is how the job ends here.

A line that won’t drain may need sewer hydrojetting, and a plumbing video inspection finds the break first. Property owners can read about commercial plumbing, and the full list sits on the services page.
